Grow Heathrow ‘Community Open Day’

Posted: August 23rd, 2012 | Author: | Filed under: Events | Tags: | 2 Comments »

This Saturday, the 8th September, from 11am-6pm Grow Heathrow is opening its gates to the public for a third open day since the project began back in March 2010.

With our appeal against eviction currently lodged with the court of appeal, giving us a bit more time (more information here), we want to open up the space for new visitors who haven’t been down before. Everyone is welcome to come on the day but if you have a friend who you have been meaning to bring down for a while then this is the day to do it.

Activities on the day will include: site tours, tea & cake, clay oven pizzas from 2pm, games, arts & crafts and the bicycle maintenance workshop will be open for the day so please use this opportunity to bring down your broken bikes for a lesson on how to repair them.

Address and directions can be found here: http://www.transitionheathrow.com/directions/   Crash space is available on both Friday and Saturday nights for those coming from afar.
